Indian Rupee ने रफ्तार पकड़ ली है! Rupee 6-week high पर पहुंच गया है, 94.2 per dollar के level पर। यह US-Iran peace deal के बाद oil prices में गिरावट और बेहतर capital flows की वजह से हुआ है। आम आदमी के लिए यह अच्छी खबर है।
पिछले कुछ महीनों में Rupee पर काफी pressure था। West Asia conflict की वजह से crude oil की prices बढ़ी थीं जिससे India का import bill बढ़ा और Rupee कमजोर हुआ। June में Rupee 94.2 तक पहुंचा जो 6 हफ्ते का highest level है।
इस strengthening के पीछे कई factors हैं। सबसे पहले, crude oil prices में गिरावट से India की current account deficit में improvement हुई। दूसरा, FII (Foreign Institutional Investors) ने Indian bonds में buying बढ़ाई। तीसरा, domestic equity markets में भी foreign money आई।
पिछले एक महीने में Rupee 2.21% मजबूत हुआ है, हालांकि पिछले 12 महीनों में अभी भी 9.04% कमजोर है। RBI (Reserve Bank of India) ने भी market में stability बनाए रखने के लिए interventions किए हैं।
मजबूत Rupee का क्या मतलब है आम आदमी के लिए? Petrol-diesel prices में राहत मिल सकती है। Import होने वाले electronics, edible oils और medicines सस्ते हो सकते हैं। विदेश पढ़ने जाने वाले students और tourism करने वालों को भी benefit मिलेगा।
Exporters के लिए हालांकि यह mixed news है — उनकी earning कुछ कम हो सकती है। लेकिन overall economic stability के लिए Rupee का मजबूत होना positive है। Analysts उम्मीद कर रहे हैं कि peace deal के consolidate होने पर Rupee और मजबूत हो सकता है!
