June 17, 2026 को अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच Islamabad Memorandum sign हुआ, जिसने Middle East में चल रही जंग को officially खत्म किया। इस deal का India पर सीधा और बड़ा positive असर पड़ा है — Strait of Hormuz के through 11 India-bound oil, gas और fertilizer vessels पहले ही गुज़र चुके हैं।
India के Ministry of External Affairs ने US-Iran ceasefire agreement का स्वागत किया और “unimpeded” trade flow के लिए early end to conflict की appeal की थी। भारत की energy security के लिए Strait of Hormuz बेहद critical है क्योंकि India का बड़ा हिस्सा oil इसी route से आता है।
इस deal के बाद global crude oil prices में significant गिरावट आई है, जिससे India का import bill कम हुआ है। Goldman Sachs ने इसी वजह से India की GDP growth forecast को 6.5% से बढ़ाकर 6.8% कर दिया। Petrol और diesel prices में भी relief आने की उम्मीद है।
Fertilizer import भी India के लिए बड़ा issue था क्योंकि conflict के दौरान supply chains disrupted हो गई थीं, जिससे agriculture sector पर pressure आ गया था। Hormuz के reopening से fertilizer की regular supply फिर शुरू हो गई है।
हालांकि situation अभी भी fragile है। June 20 को Iran ने Lebanon में Israeli strikes के बाद Hormuz को फिर बंद करने की धमकी दी थी। JD Vance ने भी warning दी कि deal violation पर consequences होंगे।
India के लिए इस geopolitical situation को closely monitor करना ज़रूरी है। अगर ceasefire hold करता है तो India की economy और trade को tremendous boost मिलेगी। यह deal India की strategic और economic interests दोनों के लिए एक significant development है।
