India की life sciences और pharmaceutical industry के लिए एक बड़ी खबर है। FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) और Eli Lilly and Company (India) ने मिलकर ‘Bharat Life Sciences Awards’ launch किया है। यह India का पहला national institutional platform है जो life sciences research, innovation, और public health impact में excellence को recognize करेगा।
यह awards program इसलिए special है क्योंकि यह India के पूरे life sciences ecosystem को cover करता है — academia, public research institutions, industry innovators, और ecosystem builders। जो लोग scientific discovery को real-world health outcomes में translate करने का काम करते हैं उन्हें इस award से recognize किया जाएगा।
Awards का governance एक eminent Advisory Council के हाथ में होगा और evaluation एक independent jury करेगी जिसमें life sciences, innovation, और public health के experts होंगे। Grant Thornton Bharat इस process का advisor होगा जो transparency और credibility ensure करेगा।
पहला Bharat Life Sciences Awards ceremony 1 October 2026 को होगी। India में life sciences sector एक massive industry है — pharmaceuticals में India दुनिया का तीसरा सबसे बड़ा producer (by volume) है और generic medicines में global leader है। ऐसे में इस sector को recognize करने का यह initiative बेहद important है।
FICCI के President ने कहा — “India की scientific talent और pharmaceutical capabilities world-class हैं। लेकिन हमें एक platform चाहिए था जो इन achievers को proper recognition दे। Bharat Life Sciences Awards वो platform बनेगा।” Eli Lilly India के MD ने भी कहा कि यह initiative India के healthcare ecosystem को strengthen करेगा।
India अभी COVID vaccine development, biosimilars, और traditional medicine को modern science के साथ integrate करने में world leader बनने की कोशिश कर रहा है। ऐसे में यह awards program researchers और innovators को motivate करेगा और India को global life sciences hub बनाने की दिशा में एक important step होगा।
