India की export story इस साल एक नए मुकाम पर पहुँची है। FY2025-26 में India का total export $863 billion के ऐतिहासिक आंकड़े पर पहुँच गया है। यह एक बड़ी उपलब्धि है जो India की बढ़ती economic strength को दर्शाती है।
सरकारी officials के अनुसार India की exports पिछले decade में लगभग double हुई हैं। 2015-16 में जहाँ exports करीब $441 billion थे, वहाँ अब $863 billion का आंकड़ा India की manufacturing और service sector की ताकत को prove करता है।
Engineering goods, petroleum products, electronics, pharmaceuticals, gems और jewellery इस export growth के major drivers रहे हैं। India का pharmaceutical sector विशेष रूप से impressive है जो “Pharmacy of the World” का title मजबूती से hold कर रहा है।
April-May 2026-27 में merchandise exports $88.91 billion रहे जो last year के same period से 16.09% ज्यादा है। May 2026 में अकेले $45.2 billion की exports हुईं जो एक monthly record है।
हालांकि strong exports के बावजूद trade deficit widened है क्योंकि imports भी बढ़े हैं। High energy costs और West Asia में tension की वजह से fuel imports महंगे रहे। US-Iran peace deal अगर finalize हो तो oil prices fall हो सकते हैं।
PM Modi की Make in India और Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes ने manufacturing exports को boost किया है। India 2030 तक $2 trillion export का target रख रहा है। यह ambitious goal अब और reachable लग रहा है।
