Amazon के CEO Andy Jassy ने June 2026 में PM Narendra Modi से मुलाकात की और India में Amazon की investment commitment को ₹4 lakh crore यानी $48 billion तक बढ़ाने का ऐलान किया। यह investment 2030 तक AI और cloud infrastructure में होगी — और यह साफ संकेत है कि global tech giants India को अपना next big market मान रहे हैं।
June 25, 2026 को PM Modi के साथ हुई इस meeting में Jassy ने भारत में Amazon Web Services (AWS) के expansion plans, data centres, और logistics network के बारे में बात की। यह announcement West Asia crisis के बावजूद हुई — जो यह दर्शाता है कि India की economic story global investors को attract करती रही है।
Amazon अकेली नहीं है। इसी हफ्ते AirTrunk ने $30 billion का India commitment दिया, जबकि Adani-Reliance ने मिलकर $210 billion का AI data centre plan announce किया। Google भी $15 billion की India investment के साथ आया है। India clearly एक global AI infrastructure hub बन रहा है।
India में अभी 207,000 से ज्यादा recognised startups हैं, 112 unicorns हैं और ecosystem की total value $350 billion को पार कर गई है। इसमें से लगभग आधे startups Tier II और Tier III cities से आ रहे हैं — जो India के digital revolution की असली ताकत है।
Amazon की India में presence पहले से ही बहुत strong है — e-commerce, Prime Video, AWS, और Alexa सभी sectors में। नई investment से India में lakhs of jobs create होने की उम्मीद है और local cloud infrastructure capacity कई गुना बढ़ेगी।
PM Modi की government का लक्ष्य India को 2030 तक एक Digital Powerhouse बनाना है। इस दिशा में Amazon, Google, Microsoft, और अब AirTrunk जैसी companies के commitments एक बड़ा boost हैं। Experts का मानना है कि AI infrastructure में यह investment India के GDP growth को long-term में significantly push करेगी।
