UN का यह International Scientific Panel on AI एक landmark initiative है। जैसे IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) climate science को globally coordinate करता है, यह panel AI के scientific, ethical और policy dimensions को coordinate करेगी। India का इसमें representation India की growing AI leadership को reflect करता है।
Prof. B. Ravindran IIT Madras के Computer Science department में एक distinguished faculty member हैं। उनकी expertise machine learning, graph mining और reinforcement learning में है। India में AI research को mainstream करने में उनका significant contribution रहा है।
India का AI sector rapidly grow कर रहा है — Sarvam AI जैसे unicorns, government की National AI Strategy और IIT-IISc जैसे institutions की research India को global AI map पर place कर रही है। UN panel में India की voice इस momentum को further strengthen करेगी।
